According to reports, Ceslie Renaud, 31 of Waukegan died in a rollover crash that occurred at the 400 block of North Green Bay Road. A witness told police the white 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling north at a high rate of speed then crossed into the southbound lanes. It sharply swerved back into northbound lanes until leaving the roadway, and rolling over several times coming to a rest after hitting several parked vehicles.
Reports indicate Renaud was ejected from the vehicle and was then transported to Vista East Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. A 50 year old woman was a passenger in the vehicle and was also taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
According to police, officers found 8.8 grams of a substance containing heroin inside the vehicle. At this time, police do not know the cause of the crash.
