Ryker is a recent addition to the canines who serve the people of Lake County. Ryker works for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and completed basic training last fall. As reported, Ryker tracked down a suspect earlier this month and now he has gotten another one.
On Thursday evening, Ryker and his human partner, Deputy Somerville were requested to search for a man who fled on foot, who was wanted to felony charges. K9 Ryker tracked for well over 1.5 miles through the woods, a golf course, and into subdivision.
Ryker successfully tracked to the area where the suspect surrendered to perimeter units as we closed in.
