A fire took place at the old Ramada Hotel at 200 N. Green Bay Rd. in Waukegan. It has been vacant since 2018 and was often inhabited by squatters.
The fire which occurred Wednesday evening was said to have considerable velocity and caused extensive damage to the structure.
Investigators are saying the blaze might have been set intentionally.
