According to reporting, two men from Lake Villa have been charged with arson involving a fire that occured at the now closed Regal Cinemas in Round Lake Beach.
The fire that occured on Saturday night caused significant damage to the interior of the facility. Authorities reported that a passerby reported the fire at 8:25pm. Fire officials responded and extinguished the blaze in about 40 minutes.
Investigators determined the fire was set intentionally and police quickly developed leads.
David M. Dolan, 19, of the 36000 block of Elizabeth Avenue, and Anthony P. Shields, 20, of the 21000 block of Engle Drive are reported to be in custody.
