A snow storm is expected to hit Lake and McHenry countries. According to the National Weather Service which issued the winter storm warning alert, heavy snow and strong winds will hit the area.
The precipitation is predicted to begin at 6am on Thursday. As much as 4-7 inches of snow are expected to accumulate. Winds could gust up to 40mph, making travel conditions difficult.
Residents are advised to limit travel.
