I am proud to announce my candidacy for the 18th District of the Lake County Board. I am taking this step so that I can serve our community at this critical time.

This community and this nation have given me and my family so much since I moved here 30 years ago. It is my desire to serve you to assure that our 18th district community continues to thrive and live happy and healthy lives.

As a US army consultant based at Fort Benning, I worked with the highest level of integrity for our nation. For this work, I was awarded with a Certificate of Excellence, one of my proudest achievements. I feel strongly about our nation embracing diversity and I believe it is important for all of us to answer the call of duty for the public good.

The last two years have been a challenging time for our community, and we have risen to the occasion as neighbors, but there is much to do to overcome the pandemic and mitigate its aftermath. I am running for District 18 of the Lake County board to continue my work in public health and bring innovation and professional management to our county. I am passionate about and will fight for:

Building Back Better in the Aftermath of the Pandemic: In my daily life, I have worked to make healthcare accessible. I have also worked to help our society overcome social barriers such as crime, mental health and drug abuse. I will align Lake County health strategies to overcome such barriers.

Reducing Our Tax Burden: I will use my professional experience in budgeting and cost management to run fiscally responsible government and address high real estate tax burdens. I will also work to support small businesses to grow in our community.

Promoting a Clean Environment & Clean Energy: I am a member of the Vernon Area Library Board where we are both fiscally responsible while still adding new services for clean energy. I am also working with community officials to establish a Green Energy Commission to make our community a leader in solar and thermal energy and reduce the cost of electricity to our residents.

Both of my children are proud graduates of Stevenson High School and are working in the healthcare field. My wife was a teacher in the Buffalo Grove area. I promise to give back to my neighbors with all my passion to elevate it to greater heights. I am asking you today to join me in fighting for the betterment of our community.
