Over the weekend, upstart opportunistic influencer Jake Lang was saved from an angry crowd in Minneapolis by Muslim men. Lang went to Minneapolis after calling for a demonstration based on racial intolerance and division. Only 12 of his supporters showed but he did face a large angry crowd of anti ICE protesters.
Jake Lang was investigated, convicted and sentenced to federal prison for his role in assaulting police officers at the US capitol on January 6th 2021. Lang was on video swinging a baseball bat at police officers. He was pardoned last January by President Trump along with all of the other J6 convicts.
In order to remain in the spotlight, Lang has offers himself as a political social media influencer. He calls himself “to the right of Hitler” and espouses racist views calling Muslims “disgusting animals.” On his social media accounts, Lang posts videos of himself burning Quarns, throwing bacon and telling others who are not white to leave the country.
At his intended rally on Saturday in Minneapolis amidst active anti ICE protesters, he promised to burn Qurans. Outside of the Minneapolis city hall with about 12 supporters, he began shouting racial epithets. A crowd of hundreds of anti ICE protesters gathered and began throwing water bottles and shooting Lang with silly string.
As the crowd grew angry and began pushing towards Lang, several Muslim men pulled Lang off of the window ledge he had retreated to and began to lead him to safety through the angry crowd.
Lang was hit with snow balls and his head showed a bloody cut. Hours later images surfaced of Lang at an area hospital getting stitches. The nurse was a Somali woman.
It is ironic that some of the very people Lang came to express his hatred for looked out for his well being.
Lang has obviously not accepted the meaning of it and posted numerous times that he was lynched, ripped apart and beaten. Jake also invited supporters to donate to his gofundme account towards paying for the stitches he received.
It is undeniable that Jake Lang is an opportunist and fails to show decent values. If Trump had not won the election, he would likely still be incarcerated for his crimes on January 6th. He is using his second chance in effort to profit himself by spreading messages of hate as a right wing influencer.
If it had not been for the Muslims who protected him, Lang might have met a very bad fate. Instead of learning about grace and decency, he spent the weekend posting lies while trying to profit himself. He is no martyr. One of these days, there will be no one to bail him out.
