Fox Lake IL – On Saturday night, a man was hit and killed by a Metra train between Fox Lake and Ingleside on the Milwaukee District North line. Per reporting, he was walking along the tracks during the snow storm.

According to officials, the train was traveling about 50mph near Rollins Road around 10:15pm. Trains were delays as a result of the incident.
The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek released the identity of the man as Richard Hayes II, 22 who is a resident of Ingleside.
