The Fox Lake Police have released body cam video from a fatal shooting that occurred during an arrest.
According to reports, on May 28th, officers responded to a home on Howard Avenue in effort to arrest a 47 year old suspect. That man was Israel Contreras-Madagan of Wauconda. He reportedly damaged a vehicle and threw a golf club at someone during a dispute.
Per reports, Contreras-Madagan weilded a knife as police were trying to take him into custody. In the video, officers can be heard instructing him to drop the knife. He refused and lunged at officers. Four gunshots are then heard and Contreras-Madagan falls to the floor.
