Lake County Democrats had another robust weekend of collecting signatures on nominating petitions.

There is a two pronged strategy in place towards collecting signatures on nominating petitions, with coordination among campaigns and local dem organizations. This is clearly successful.

Lake County Democrats have hard working township organizations. This weekend, the Freemont Township Democrats promoted and held a signature collection event with Congressman Brad Schneider, Treasurer Holly Kim, State Senate candidate Mary Edly Allen, Clerk candidate Anthony Vega and Mike Cortina for Judge workers in attendance. Also in the mix was Nancy Rotering running for Illinois Supreme Court, Chelsea Laliberte Barnes who is running for State Representative of District 51 and Maria Peterson whos is running for State Senate of Illinois District 26.

Similar events were held by campaigns such as State Senator Adriane Johnson and State Representative Dan Didech combining efforts in Libertyville. At Bagel by the Book, a steady stream of supporters ventured in to sign petitions.

Then candidates joined in where convenient along with campaign staffers to knock doors in effort to gather the necessary signatures to appear on the ballot.

The energy and effort among Lake County Democrats is clear and palpable, reflecting a strong desire to win.
