WAUKEGAN, Ill. On Saturday, a human arm washed up on the Waukegan Municipal Beach. The arm was found by a tree by a person walking on the beach Saturday night.
The Waukegan police were notified about the severed arm by a caller at 8:20pm. The Lake County Coroner’s Office was called in to perform an investigation. Law enforcement personnel combed the area and no other human remains were found at the scene.
Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek confirmed the arm belonged to a woman. A more detailed analysis is being conducted. The coroner’s office does not expect to conclusively identify the arm until next week.
It is thought the arm belongs to Sade Robinson, 19, of Milwaukee. She was reported missing on April 2nd after she did not show up at her job. According to reports, she went on a date with a man named Maxwell Anderson.
In the morning after the date with Anderson, Robinson’s 2020 Honda Civic was located and on fire. Later that day, a human leg was found on the beach in Warnimont Park in Cudahy. The leg appeared to have been removed with a saw. In the area where Anderson’s car was located, police found additional remains, including a human foot and human flesh. DNA analysis indicated all of the body parts came from the same person.
Anderson stands charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson of property other than a building.
